CNC Machine Operator, $17.68/hr, Ann Arbor, MI
Are you looking to get your foot in the door at a great manufacturing company? Are you interested in learning a skill and learning how to operate a CNC Machine? Do you also happen to be mechanically inclined? If so, this is the position for you!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Start and shut down CNC equipment at the beginning and end of shift
- Run single or multiple CNC work station by loading materials and unloading complete products
- Report and communicate issues with supervisor
- Log in / out daily output into ERP system
- Perform regular Visual and In-Process Inspection check per requirement
- Produce quality parts and maintain production levels
- Follow company safety practices to provide a safe work environment for all employees
- Perform general housekeeping
Qualifications:
- CNC machine operation experience preferred but not required
- Must be comfortable with working with hand and power tools, mainly power drill and hammer to secure clamps, helps to be mechanically inclined
- Ability to use a micrometer and caliper is preferred but not required, they’re willing to train
In this position, the CNC Machine operator will be responsible for loading/unloading and operating the Mazak CNC machine. This will require the use of power tools and hand tools like a hammer and drill to secure the parts and clamps into place inside the machine. As the parts come off, you must check them for defects to make sure they’re right. This position is going from 5:30am-2pm M-F, but right now they are working a little bit of overtime in preparation to move to a bigger, new facility right down the road! This is a temporary to hire opportunity with a manufacturer of rifle scopes!
