Travel Nurse - Progressive Care/Step Down RN

Location: Lebanon, NH

Assignment Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: Day or Night openings 

Facility Type: Trauma 1 hospital

Unit: 10 Bed Progressive Care Unit

Specialties:

• Medical: Neuromuscular disorders, Meningitis
• Primary Stroke Center
• TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury)
• Spinal Cord Injury
• Surgical: Tumor resections (brain and spine), Spinal surgery, Head and neck cancer
• Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) Trials with Lumbar Drains

Requirements:

• Active RN license in [State]
• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care or similar experience
• Experience with arterial lines, ventriculostomies, subdural drains, and lumbar drains
• Proficient in hemodynamic monitoring and invasive BP monitoring through arterial lines
• Experience with Bi-PAP/ C-PAP, Trach C-PAP patients on the ventilator (NSCU/ISCU)
• Familiarity with low dose pressors, vasoactive meds, and inotropes
• Experience with Mannitol & 3% (NSCU)
• Skilled in trachs, complex wounds, and lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor and manage patients with various medical and surgical conditions
• Administer and monitor medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and families about their conditions and care plans
• Participate in NPH Trials with Lumbar Drains as required
