Project Manager - HVAC

Client is seeking a self-motivated, career focused, customer driven individual to join our project manager team in commercial construction. Client is known for delivering the best in light and medium commercial HVAC in Central, VA while maintaining a family atmosphere where home/work balance is pushed from the top down.

Summary/Objective: Our Project Managers seek out and oversee the acquisition and management of HVAC projects that meet the criteria sets for them. Projects range from plan & spec to design build, from light commercial to medium commercial ranging from 25K-5M.

Our Project Managers need to be leaders, problem solvers, with a long view of the finances of the projects. Our Project Managers need to be able to work with field superintendents to the project executives be comfortable in a sport jacket and hard hat.

Essential Functions:

● Develop and maintain business relationships with internal and external customers

● Identify, pursue, estimate, sell, buyout, and manage commercial HVAC projects

● Lead field supervision, internal administration through project life from birth to completion

● Responsible for monthly labor and materials projections, pencil copy of billing application

Education & Experience:

● Bachelor's degree in business or engineering preferred

● 3-5 years of HVAC construction experience required

● Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills

● Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Office, Bluebeam, Plangrid, and willing and able to learn new computer skills and programs

● Must be a self-directed self-starter, be able to work with little supervision and part of the team, follow directions, be able to actively think and find solutions to unique challenges

● Must be able to pass a drug test, background screening (driving and criminal)

● Must adhere to all company policies and procedures

● Must be available to work assigned schedules and occasional extended hours as needed

The work environment includes but not limited to:

● Sitting, standing, stooping, squatting, climbing for long periods of time in varying temperatures, humidity, inside and out and varying noise levels. May be exposed to smells, fumes, duct, confined spaces, heights, and lift up to 50 lbs..

● Limited travel may be required (rarely overnight), reliable transportation required.

Additional Skills/Experience Preferred:

● LEED Accredited and Experience

● AUTOCAD Experience

● QuoteSoft Familiarity

● Prior military experience
