Remodeling Superintendent

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Remodeling Superintendent to join our team. The  Remodeling Superintendent is responsible for supervision, training, and development of technical crew employees.  The Remodeling Superintendent works with the Lead Carpenter and Remodeling Sales Consultant to regularly communicate with the customer, solve any issues that arise during construction, and manage relationships with the team/subcontractors to ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent residential construction experience, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

Pre-Construction Preparation

• Reviewing budget
• Review project clarification
• Assist in creating production schedule
• Perform site walk through and subcontractor selection
• Assist the Estimator during pre-construction phase including:
  • Bidding and contracts
• Managing material purchasing, finalize sub agreements and contracts

Remodeling Construction Management 

• Taking ownership of the preconstruction meeting from the Remodeling Consultant 
• Attending regular Weekly Project Meetings  
• Leading weekly site meetings with the client 
• Attending weekly Production Meeting in office 
• Managing site visits, reviewing construction issues, training on best practices, managing photo documentation 
• Approves change orders 
• Managing to and updating the schedule 
• Completing accounting processes including:  sub/vendor payment approvals, client invoices/payment
• Strong Finish 
  • Managing in house walk through 
  • Completing final walk through with client (should be minimal punch list) 
  • Overseeing punch list completion/warranty/billable issues  
• Chief point of contact for all client/vendor issues throughout Construction and Strong Finish 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• An expert at residential construction with a minimum of 10 years experience in field operations 
• 5+ years experience supervising construction scopes of work 
• Experience in managing, training and developing people 
• Excellent communication with employees, clients, vendors, and subcontractors 
• Working knowledge of all remodeling trade installation requirements and techniques 
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and Construction Quality Control
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities; experienced and creative problem solver
