Property Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Property Accountant will oversee all accounting elements of 6-7 commercial real estate projects. He or she is capable of functioning in a dynamic setting, with the ability to deal with many shifting priorities while meeting deadlines within specified timeframes.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Prepares and maintains accurate, timely financial statements.
• Prepares bank reconciliations, sales tax filings, and other associated duties.
• Work alongside. Property management in invoicing and collecting tenants' rentals.
• Prepares changes and notebook entries.
• Prepares weekly, quarterly, and yearly reports for lenders.
• Assists with reconciliations, budgeting, and research initiatives.
• Ad hoc initiatives as needed.
• Maintains the rent rolls for all allocated properties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A bachelor's degree in accounting is required, along with 5+ years of experience. Only applicants from South Florida are considered.
• Requirements: - Willingness to work and learn in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail - Ability to read and comprehend legal papers.
• Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
