YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:The Project Controls Product Manager, under the guidance of the Director of Project Management Applications and in close collaboration with the Project Controls Group, plays a pivotal role in the strategic oversight and decision-making for the development and enhancement of construction management applications. This individual is tasked with ensuring that the software meets the evolving needs of Rosendin's operations by making informed decisions on user interface (UI) and experience (UX), based on comprehensive feedback from the Project Controls team and end users. Under the guidance of the Director of Project Management Applications, the Project Controls Product Manager serves as the approving authority on application design and functionality, guaranteeing that the solutions are perfectly aligned with the practical demands of construction management and the Rosendin brand standards.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:Under the director's guidance, serve as the primary decision-maker for UI and UX enhancements in construction management applications, ensuring that all updates and developments align with the strategic objectives and user needs identified by the Project Controls group.
Approve and direct UI enhancements to ensure interfaces are user-friendly, efficient, and customized for construction management workflows.
Guide the application design process, making decisions based on user feedback to continually refine functionality and user interaction.
Establish and maintain effective communication channels with Project Controls teams for continuous insight collection and application improvement identification.
Translate operational and field feedback into strategic development decisions, ensuring application design meets user requirements.
Implement a user-focused strategy in application development, with the final decision on ensuring end products resolve the challenges highlighted by Project Controls.
Evaluate emerging UI/UX trends and construction technologies for their potential integration into the applications, based on user needs and feedback.
Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, constantly seeking opportunities to enhance application performance and user satisfaction from a decision-making standpoint.
Provide regular updates to senior management on development progress, feedback trends, and strategic enhancements to the applications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Web Application UI/UX Design, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in application development, with a significant focus on user interface and experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in making informed decisions based on user feedback, ideally within a project management/results driven context.
- Previous experience in roles requiring direct interaction and collaboration with end-users is highly valued.
- Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience
Comprehensive understanding of UI/UX design principles and a strong grasp of user-centric development methodologies.
Exceptional project management and decision-making capabilities.
A proven track record of converting user feedback into tangible application improvements.
Outstanding communication skills, capable of effectively gathering, interpreting, and acting on user feedback.
Familiarity with the unique challenges and workflows associated with Rosendin project management.
Proficiency in using design and development tools pertinent to UI/UX, with the ability to oversee their application in product development.
