Agency-Directed Caregiving Position - 64130

Summary of the position: As an IHS (In-home Services) PCA (Personal Care Attendant) you work directly with this Consumer who is on Missouri Medicaid who has been approved by the State of Missouri to receive paid assistance for daily living activities so they can remain in their home.  As a PCA, you are naturally talented anticipating the needs of an individual and possess above-average emotional health allowing you to receive instruction directly from the individual you are assisting. This client also struggles with some mental health issues, so empathy and patience are paramount.

Compensation: $15.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

The available position is Monday - Sunday and includes 3 hours of Personal Care followed by approximately hours of respite.

During the Personal Care and Homemaker portion, duties include:

• Bathing
• Dressing/Grooming
• Transferring/Positioning
• Laundry
• Cooking
• Washing Dishes
• Toileting

The Respite hours are basic respite, meaning you are there for emergencies and to help with basic requests such as snacks, drinks, etc, and to sit with the client in the common areas of the building she resides in.

This is a permanent part-time position for an individual who has a passion for caregiving and is dependable and reliable. Position located in 64130 zip code, proximity to Consumers residence is preferred. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Pass a background check through the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) (and pay required registration fee if needed) and the Missouri Employee Disqualification List.
• Be eligible to work through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security E-Verify system.
• CNA Preferred but not required.
• Some training required even with background experience.
