Position Overview
Hunter Douglas is the world market leader in window coverings and the most sought after name in custom window fashions. What you'll do
- Will assemble plastic and metal parts into sub-assemblies for window covering
- Will follow step by step instructions part of a one piece flow
- Will require long periods of sitting and/or standing.
- Will use various hand tools such as: Hammer, plyers, hole punchers, scissors, measuring tape, drill
- There will be certain quality and production metric standards that must be met hour by hour
- Rotation in between three different assembly stations may be required as needed depending on department needs
- All other duties as assigned
- This is a Second Shift position. You must be able to work Monday - Thursday 3:30pm to 1:30am (Additional hours may be required Fridays and Saturdays depending on order volume)
Who you are
- Have knowledge of basic mathematics to read measuring devices such as calipers and performs basic addition, subtraction of whole numbers and fraction
- Must have sufficient hand/finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination for manual and semi-automated assembly of plastic and metal pieces
- Have attention to detail
- Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written operational procedures to safely and efficiently perform essential functions required
- Be able to produce a quality product as well as determine any defect issue
- Must have good communication
- Have the ability to use RF Scanner and other computer systems
