React Typescript Front End Developer
Location: 95% remote (one-trip to Washington DC Monthly-Must live within a two-hour drive)
Salary: $125-135K No Bonus
Must be able to pass a U.S. government background check. Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Musts:
- MUST HAVE: Strong React and TypeScript experience.
- MUST be able to lead a small team but be very hands-on.
Our consulting client who does work for the US Government, seeks a Lead Front End Developer who will work with the team of software developers and engineers on multiple projects. Current efforts include a full-featured simulation for the military, and mission planning applications for future conflicts. Initial focus will be on supporting development and testing of mission planning applications for autonomous aircraft and on developing new features for their energy simulation.
Duties:
- Guide our team's technical strategies, vision, and architecture.
- Solve technical problems involving front end software engineering, and UI development, refactoring.
- Design and build software that is highly available, performant, scalable.
- Learn and operate services that support 1000’s of requests a day.
- Design products for front-end development and web applications (e.g. wireframes, low and high-fidelity mock-ups, or click through prototypes
- Utilize design tools like Sketch, Figma, Axure, Principle, and Framer
Required Education and Certifications:
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, or an engineering or science field (or four years of substitution of related experience in lieu of)
Required Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience with front end software development with a focus on React/TypeScript and scientific computing applications.
- Experience developing unit and integration tests.
