We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance employee to join our team. Responsible for grounds, buildings and building equipment, maintenance, and construction. Oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of machine tools and equipment, electrical, gas, air, and water installations, sewers, and fire sprinklers; operation of building equipment and facilities, plant janitor service, maintenance of grounds. Works with outside, contractors and architects on building construction as necessary. Plans layout and assigns work to tradesmen in diagnosing and remedying difficult problems; reports on defective equipment, recommends replacement of obsolete or damaged equipment when estimate or repair cost is excessive. Expedites building and machine repairs in constructing to avoid production delays. Responsible for purchasing machine maintenance equipment and working with vendors who install, maintain, rebuild and repair a wide variety of production or processing machines and equipment. This is a full-time, hands-on position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment and machinery
Inspect, repair, and maintain building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, roofing, security alarm and fire system
- Documents and updates maintenance activities including works orders, maintenance logs, preventative maintenance logs
- Oversees outside contractors and vendors accordingly
- Communicates with all levels of the organization clearly and effectively
- Performs other related duties as required and may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience in industrial/building/facilities management in a manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, production machinery and hazmat disposal
- Manage relationships with service providers, contractors and vendors
- Prioritizes multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong computer skills
- Problem solves effectively and efficiently
- Safety orientated
- Ability to work overtime, weekends as needed and willingness to be on-call
- This position requires moderate lifting, climbing, carrying, stooping, crawling, working overhead, pushing, pulling, bending, and kneeling
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
