Accounting Analyst (Energy Industry)

Our client is searching for an Accounting Analyst for their private equity owned energy company with offices in The Woodlands and downtown Houston.  This position can be based in either location and will report to the Senior Accountant.  This role with have shared responsibilities including accounting, planning, and financial reporting and the salary range is $65,000-$75,000 per year plus bonus.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain updated corporate books and records for Holding Companies.
• On a regular basis, interact with our Latin America finance teams. 
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts and bank reconciliations, with complete understanding of all outstanding balances. Maintain proper supporting documentation.
• Propose and implement improvements as needed.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting between entities.
• Be highly personable and a proactive individual ready to wear multiple hats and challenge the status-quo. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum two years' experience in accounting, preferably in international company setting.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Must have strong communication skills, be able to work independently and be team oriented.
• Must have excellent organizational skills and able to manage multiple projects.
• Must possess a strong ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Must possess a high level of personal and professional accountability and be able to enlist the cooperation of peer groups involved in common business goals and objectives.
• Ability to meet changing demands and to adapt to frequently changing priorities.
• Accounting expertise USGAAP/ IFRS.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software packages.
• NetSuite experience preferred, but not required.
