DESCRIPTION:

HRP’s Farmington, CT office has an immediate full-time opportunity for an individual with 2 to 5 years of experience in Billing & Collections to join our accounting department.  This is an opportunity for a self-motivated professional interested in a career in a fast-paced and flexible work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Processes the billing on a daily and monthly basis.
• Prepares financial reports.
• Archives contract documents.
• Reconciles client invoice discrepancies.
• Assists with State contract billing.
• Maintains and monitors client electronic invoice/payment systems.
• Records and tracks invoice submittals to clients, including electronic or mailed invoices.
• Assists with project setups and closings. 
• Performs unit posting.
• Performs collection assistance for Project Managers, including calls and statements.
• Interacts with all departments at all HRP offices.
• Maintains confidentiality.
• Serves as back-up for other accounting personnel. 
• Performs other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
 

• High school diploma, AS/BA/BS degree in related accounting, bookkeeping or office administration field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and DELTEK accounting program.
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients and internal staff.
• Ability to interact in collaborative work environments.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
