Event Staff at Sweet Spot Ice Cream Cafe

Sweet Spot Ice Cream Cafe in Richmond, VA is looking for event staff to join our team. We are located on 6 N 18th Street Richmond Virginia. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and hard-working. Event staff will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of various events, including festivals, weddings, sporting games corporate and private functions, and more. Event staff will be trained to work under the instruction of the event manager. Event Staff will be cross trained as Café Associates to be available to work instore if needed.

Responsibilities

1. Set Up and Break Down:

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of event equipment, including tent, tables, signage, and decorations.
• Ensure that all event spaces are set up according to design specifications.
• Safely handle and transport event materials, equipment, and supplies.

1. Hospitality and Catering Support:

• Assist with the setup and service of food and beverage stations, including buffets, bars, and catering areas within alloted timeframes.
• Ensure that food and beverage offerings are presented attractively and replenished as needed.
• Monitor areas for cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

1. Cleanup and Post-Event Duties:

• Assist with post-event cleanup efforts, including dismantling equipment, removing decorations, and clearing debris within alloted timeframes.
• Dispose of trash and recycling materials in designated areas.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in event support or hospitality roles is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Stand for the duration of an event and maintain a certain level of energy and enthusiasm to succeed.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $13.00 - $15.00/hour.
