Non-CDL Transit Driver- Daily Range $147-$280 (FT & PT)

Orion Transit is a ParaTransit company that is looking for skilled and highly committed non-CDL drivers in the Orlando area. Our business partners should be motivated to provide a positive riding experience to our passengers. As a ParaTransit operator, you will be picking up mobility challenged passengers and safely driving them to their destination using vehicles that we provide you.

Pay $147-$280 Daily -1099 independent contractor.

• Schedules are dependent on availability, there is a high need for three 12 hour shifts/ week.
• We also need "part-time" standby drivers.

Currently offering up to $1,000 in sign on bonuses! 

• Candidates that live in the actual City of Orlando is preferred due to logistics.
• Motivated candidates that can onboard quickly is preferred due to time restraints.

Job responsibilities:

• Provide safe and reliable transportation to disabled or elderly passengers protected under the highly regulated Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

• Perform a route based passenger Pick up and Drops off using Computer Aided Dispatch tablet technologies.

• Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspection and report any discrepancies or safety violations.

• Monitor vehicle health, cleanliness, and report any vehicle malfunctions.

• Collect fares from passengers and maintain accurate logs of all fares collected and return to transit leadership staff.

• Aid passengers using wheelchair assistance as needed and provide ambulatory assistance when needed to ensure a safe and courteous ride.

• Meet with other operators for equipment & vehicle trade off

Requirements for this position:

• Must be at least 23 years old

• No More Than Three (3) Moving Violation Points On Their State Drivers and/or Chauffeurs License Within The Last Three (3) Years.

• NO DWI/DUI CONVICTIONS

• NO VIOLENT, SUBST ABUSE OR SEXUAL ABUSE CRIMES

• NO MISDEMEANOR OR FELONY CONVICTIONS WITHIN THE PAST 5 YEARS
