Mirus Bio is expanding and has an immediate opening for a Technical Support Scientist. This position is at the forefront of the customer experience and the right candidate will join a customer-centric team to provide comprehensive phone, online chat, and email-based technical support to our customers and distribution partners around the world. The Technical Support Scientist will report to the Manager, Technical Support and will nurture the customer experience with Sales, Field Applications, R&D, Quality, Marketing, Customer Service, and Shipping departments. The responsibilities outlined below may fluctuate depending on the number of projects, technical support case volume, and current business priorities.

This is a part-time position with the option to work remotely. The ideal candidate will be based in or near Madison, Wisconsin. This role works cross-functionally with all departments within Mirus Bio.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer domestic and international customer questions via email and phone.
- Perform root-cause analysis on product performance issues and follow-up with customers.
- Document and manage customer interactions on Salesforce.
- Review, process, and follow-up on product samples.
- Relay customer feedback and trends to product development and marketing teams.
- Search, evaluate, and organize product citations for Mirus Bio products.
- Prepare technical documentation and support materials for Mirus Bio products.
- Demonstrate behavior outlined within the Mirus Bio Employee Handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Global Director, Field Applications & Support or Manager, Technical Support.
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences-related discipline (e.g. Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics) is required.
Professional:
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on research/lab experience is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong experimental design and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to find and interpret technical and scientific literature.
- Comfort with clearly communicating technical information to customers.
- Experience with transfection, electroporation, and viral transduction workflows is preferred.
This position has a salary range of $28 - $35 dollars per hour and will be commensurate with experience.
