Reporting to the Marketing Director, a Content Specialist at S-Docs is not just a wordsmith; they’re a strategic thinker who shapes the narrative of our brand, educates our users, and drives business growth. You will collaboratively craft and execute a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with our business goals and resonates with our target audience.
Job Location:
- Ann Arbor, Michigan / Detroit metro is preferred
- Flexible on location for the right candidate
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product, support, sales, and customer success teams to develop content that serves customers.
- Create content enabling customers to self-support via a knowledge base and learning management system.
- Architect customer-facing documentation, including guides, manuals, and FAQs.
- Work with product teams and UX/UI designers to ensure documentation is accurate and accessible.
- Prioritize documentation requests from customers and the support team.
- Develop a library of educational courses for software mastery, best practices, and troubleshooting.
- Use various formats like videos, webinars, and interactive modules for engaging learning experiences.
- Create content like datasheets, one-pagers, sales playbooks, and battle cards to educate about product capabilities.
- Develop sales decks, pitch presentations, release notes, and accompanying emails for product releases.
- Create and manage social media posts, visuals, and videos across platforms.
- Monitor social media and engage in conversations, manage crises, and maintain brand reputation.
- Develop a social media content calendar aligned with business goals and optimize posting times.
- Stay updated on social media platform trends and experiment with new content formats.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on website content, including landing pages and product descriptions.
- Ensure SEO-friendly content that aligns with the brand's value proposition.
- Write persuasive email copy for lead nurturing, onboarding, and promotional campaigns to guide prospects through the conversion journey.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business writing, preferably in a SaaS or Software product environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in communication, marketing or related field
- Exceptional communication and B2B copywriting skills
- Proficiency in SEO and social media strategies
- Ability to analyze content performance and make data-driven decisions
- Experience with Salesforce CRM or HubSpot CRM
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
- Skilled in video recording and editing for documentation and marketing purposes
