As a Construction Surveyor at Florida Consulting and Development Group, you will be responsible for supporting our construction projects by providing accurate survey data and ensuring compliance with all municipal and construction standards. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting team player with a background in surveying, particularly in construction, and possess excellent AutoCAD skills. You will play a key role in drafting contractor As-Builts, interpreting survey field notes, providing exhibits, and maintaining the highest quality control standards in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Survey Data Management: Collect, manage, and analyze survey data to ensure accurate measurements and records for construction projects.
- AutoCAD Proficiency: Utilize AutoCAD software to create and modify drawings, including point groups and profiles, and calculate necessary separations to support project needs.
- As-Built Documentation: Prepare accurate contractor As-Built drawings that reflect the final constructed condition, ensuring that they meet the project requirements and municipal standards.
- Field Notes Interpretation: Review and interpret survey field notes, ensuring that all relevant data is accurately captured and translated into project documentation.
- Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control processes to verify that fieldwork complies with both municipality and construction standards, promptly addressing any discrepancies.
- Exhibit Preparation: Develop exhibits and presentations that effectively communicate survey data and findings to various stakeholders, including project managers and construction teams.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, addressing survey-related issues as they arise.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest surveying techniques, software, and industry best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve survey processes and results.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction surveying.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- Strong knowledge of point groups, profiles, and separation calculations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
