Accounts Payable Specialist

A successful Video and Television production organization, Pioneer Production Services, is seeking a full-time accounting associate. The primary responsibilities are based on diverse accounting duties, such as accurately managing accounting records, handling accounts payable, data and entry, reconciliation of accounts receivable, processing payroll, all while maintaining great attention to detail.  The position is full-time and in-person at the production facility.  

Required skills:

o Basic knowledge of QuickBooks and of accounting best practices

o Great attention to detail and ability to work with a team

o Understanding of accounting best practices

o Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

o Basic knowledge in Microsoft Excel

o Produce work and enter data with a high level of accuracy

o Other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate to promote the continued operation and direction of the Controller.

o Manage the full accounts payable cycle from receipt of invoices from all vendors and staff in order to make payments in a timely manner. This includes obtaining approval, and entering the invoices into the accounting system.

o Reconcile accounts payable

o Ability to calculate and manage accounting figures across departments

o Comfort working with payroll

o Other job-related duties as requested

o Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions from Management.
