Dental Assistant

Place of Performance: Federal Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky. The Dental Assistant services will be performed on-site in the Health Services Department of the Federal Medical Center located at 3301 Leestown Road Lexington, Kentucky. Services may be performed in the Dental Clinic of the main Medical facility or at the Dental Clinic at the Satellite Prison Camp facility also located at the same address.

The Dental Assistant will normally work Monday through Friday (except Federal holidays), normally between the hours of 7:30 a.m.
and 3:30 p.m., with a 30 minute unpaid lunch period for 30 hours per week.Education and Experience
Must be registered and possess a license in any state within the U.S. or possess a letter from the Kentucky Board of Dentistry that states your training meets or exceeds Kentucky requirements. 2 years of experience providing Expanded Duties Dental Assistant services is required. Must have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) that meets or exceeds the guidelines of the American Heart Association (AHA). In addition, the dental assistant’s must
have the following: #register the dental assistant on his or her Application for Renewal of Dental Licensure #maintain a personnel file for the registered dental assistant containing the following: #a copy of proof of having current CPR certification #a copy of the certificates of completion of the Coronal Polishing, Radiation Safety, Radiation Techniques Course, #the licensee's statement attesting to the competency of the dental assistant in the procedures delegated the assistant from the Delegated
