Construction Owners Representative

We are seeking an experienced Construction Owners Representative to act as the owner's eyes and ears on commercial and multifamily construction projects. In this key role, you will protect the owner's interests by monitoring quality, schedule, budget, and contractual compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Represent the owner during preconstruction and construction phases on assigned projects
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor construction progress
• Review payment applications, change orders, RFIs, and submittals for accuracy
• Ensure general contractor adherence to plans, specifications, schedule, and budget
• Identify potential issues and provide solutions to keep projects on track
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain clear documentation
• Attend project meetings and facilitate communication between all parties
• Verify completion and closeout requirements before issuing completion certificates

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience as an Owners Representative on commercial projects with a general contractor
• Direct experience working with general contractors on multifamily projects (highly preferred)
• Ability to work as an Owners Rep or Developer/Builder per company needs
• Extensive knowledge of construction practices, documents, scheduling and budgeting
• Ability to review and interpret architectural/engineering plans and specifications
• Strong problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail
• Proficiency with construction management software
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
