High-volume, well-established custom injection molding company is currently seeking an experienced Lay Out Inspector
Essential Functions:
Control the quality of the company product using precision inspection instruments and/or machines.
Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities will be to inspect the dimensions of parts, as well as visually inspects parts for defects.
Other related duties include:
- Log all dimensions onto electronic SPC data collection system
- Makes complex set-ups, performs Quality Inspections and 1st Article inspections
· Sets and performs inspection of parts to determine precise conformance to specifications, tolerances and workmanship
Minimum Requirements:
Proficiency in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauge blocks, height gauges, vision systems such as RAM and Comparator
Knowledge of; and ability to use and program Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and RAM Optical Instrument.
Ability to work with complex drawings/blueprints, inspection specifications, verbal and written instructions
Software knowledge: Use MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to work with computerized inspection programs, SPC, CMM, RAM optical instrument, air testers, load/tensile tester
