Mechanical Maintenance CMMS Specialist

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Reports to the Maintenance Office Supervisor.
2. Has freedom of contact throughout the company on Operations and Maintenance activities, particularly with Engineering, Operations and Maintenance Personnel.
3. Externally, interfaces with software manufacturers and vendors concerning maintenance systems.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
2. Advanced and versatile computer software and hardware skills.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
4. Strong personal initiative with multi-task & problem solving abilities.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for providing technical support to the Mechanical Maintenance department by managing implementation and administration of the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) in order to improve efficiency in the maintenance depattment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Manage the administration of the company Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) maintenance work order system as well as the company tablet based work order system.
2. Provide oversight and administration to the maintenance reliability information management system.
3. Manage the plant maintenance asset lists and ensure consistency across all systems.
4. As the maintenance systems subject matter expert, develop and maintain up to date user manuals and best practice documents for the end users.
5. Assist with the development and delivery of classroom and virtual training programs for the maintenance systems.
6. Provide individual mentoring and coaching to maintenance personnel in all aspects of the maintenance systems.

1. Provide timely support for maintenance system user software issues.
2. Serve as the primary interface between the maintenance software vendors, IT group and system users.
3. Evaluate the effectiveness of the maintenance systems through review of completed work orders, analysis of work order meta data, and interaction with end users.
4. Work closely with the maintenance Engineers, Planners, Group Leaders and Predictive Maintenance group to ensure coordination on the most effective use of the maintenance systems.

1. Assist with Root Cause Failure Analysis investigations as requested.
2. Assist with tracking and achieving maintenance Key Performance Indicator goals involving the maintenance management systems.
3. Assist with developing and maintaining the department policy and procedure manual.
4. Assist with research and implementation of and compliance with any maintenance related ISO

certifications.

1. Keep abreast of new CMMS softwares and features on the market by reading appropriate articles, associating with professional organizations, interacting with colleagues, equipment vendors, service companies, consultants, and attending conferences, training courses, and continuing education as appropriate.
