Now Hiring: Employment Specialist, Job Coaches and Highs School Specialist - full and part time opportunities

"We Teach Work with Work” It has been the mission of BCRC Inc., the Beaver County Rehabilitation Center, to provide the opportunity for growth and independence while respecting the dignity and uniqueness of each individual for more than 50 years.

Our employees play an important role in coaching our clients to overcome vocational barriers and live lives that are more independent through: Community Activities, Volunteerism and Job Seeking and Acquisition. We are currently recruiting for full time and part time Employment Specialist, Job Coaches and High School Support Specialist. We offer flexible schedules, 2-3 days a week, daylight positions which pay $16.50 / hour. Temporary position pay $16 / hour. High school diploma or equivalency and valid drivers license required. Training will be provided.

What does a typical day look like when you work at BCRC?

As an Employment Specialist, a typical day might include:

o Identifying and creating activities for our clients to reach individual goals through community events or volunteerism.

o Coaching clients in identifying and pursuing employment opportunities including networking with area businesses, researching the job market, resume writing, and interviewing skills.

o Equipping clients to gain independent life skills such as: riding public transportation, ordering at a restaurant, social skills and peer interaction, managing their money, and much more.

As a Job Coach, a typical day might include:

o Providing oversight in a vocational workshop, off site worksites, or through volunteer opportunities.

o Developing simulated job tasks and conducting vocational classes.

o Coordinating client goals with a Program Specialist.

o Documenting client case notes and outcomes.

As a High School Support Specialist, a typical day might include:

o Implementing vocational and independence based classroom activities with goal-specific outcomes.

o Providing oversight in a vocational workshop, mobile worksites, or through volunteer opportunities.

o Coordinating client goals with a Program Specialist.
