Overview:

Pasadena, TX: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Engineer to join our client’s team. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to the instrumentation activities of the HDPE and HAD plant, focusing on improving reliability and ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met.

Essential Duties:

• technical support to the Maintenance I&E Supervisor, I&E Planner, I&E technicians, Analyzer technicians, and DCS specialists.
• plant systems’ performance and recommend changes for operation, maintenance, or testing.
• in troubleshooting instrumentation problems and optimizing PMs and maintenance strategies.
• root cause investigations into controls and instrument reliability problems.
• and review engineering documents, including data sheets, loop drawings, and specifications.
• with planning and execution for planned and unplanned outages.
• field troubleshooting and work outside in all weather conditions as necessary.

Requirements/Skills:

• degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Controls/Automation Engineering (other engineering/technical degrees considered based on experience).
• or more years of related experience in plant environment.
• with control valves, level, pressure, and temperature instruments, DCS, and PLC systems.
• knowledge of instrumentation and analyzer systems.
• in MS Office, MS Project, and SAP.
• verbal and written communication skills.
• to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Physical Requirements:

• to work in a chemical processing environment.
• to work overtime, including alternative shifts, and respond to emergencies on short notice.
