Job Description

A busy Private GI practice located in Upper Saint Clair seeks a Medical Assistant. Great work environment, great co-workers, great providers. Join our team today!

Job responsibilities include:

Preparing patient electronic health records for office patients
Assisting physicians with patient teaching and follow up
During in-person office hours: Check patients in, collect co-pays, room patients, and check-out.
During COVID-19 protocol, assist physician with telemed preparation and follow up.
Answering telephone calls and triage according to practice policy
Complete prior authorizations for testing ordered during appointments.

Qualifications:

Medical Assistant training required
1-year Medical Assistant Experience in a physicians’ office setting
Strong patient care and communication skills
Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment while being a team player
Reliable transportation required.
Electronic health record experience required. Allscripts PRO EHR experience preferred.
Travel to satellite office location may be required.
Gastroenterology experience a plus

This is a Monday through Friday daylight position. No evenings, no weekends, no holidays
