Copywriter

We are seeking a highly skilled Copywriter to join our team on a contractual basis. This role is dedicated to crafting written content for both external community communications and internal communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering clear, compelling, and concise copy that resonates with diverse audiences and supports our client's marketing and operational goals.

Reports To: Design Director 

Responsibilities:

• External / Community Communications:
  • Create engaging newsletters, external presentations, and social media content.
  • Write copy for website content, including graphics and videos.
  • Develop marketing collateral such as factsheets, one-pagers, posters, banners, postcards, invitations, ads, maps, and site signage.
• Internal Communications:
  • Produce comprehensive training materials and safety manuals.
  • Write clear and informative copy for internal site signage and field/concourse signage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent professional experience in copywriting.
• Demonstrated experience in copywriting, with a portfolio that includes a variety of written materials such as articles, brochures, and digital content.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise, and relatable manner.
• Experience in writing for different audiences, tailoring messages for both external and internal stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to gather information and refine content.

Contract Details:

• This is a contractor position. Monthly retainer and project-based fees to be discussed based on experience and scope of work.
