Communications Intern

Title: Marketing Communications Internship

Reporting to: Vice President, Communications, and Marketing

Background: For 45+ years, Urban Strategies, Inc. has assisted residents and community stakeholders to design and implementing a wide range of transformative projects in distressed U.S. communities. Our mission is all children and families will be stable and thriving.

Job Summary: Marketing Communications Intern will support the management, creation, and distribution of content for web and social of USI’s marketing and communications strategy.

Direct Service Delivery Responsibilities

· Organize the Digital Asset Management database

· Support Social Media Engagement for directed sites

· Build SOP library

· Assist with Stories of U.S. Blog and other writing-centered projects not limited to one-pagers, site reports, and resident success stories.

- Research applicable information to support the work of the department.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or experience required:

· Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, or another relevant field.

· A minimum of 2-5 years of work experience

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Skills and/or competencies required:

· Strong interpersonal and communication

· Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.

· Must excel in a fast-paced environment

· The ability to work independently and with initiative, combined with skills for thriving in a team environment.
