Senior Tax Accountant/CPA

We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant/CPA to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company. This position is working for a private corporation. THIS POSITION WOULD BE IDEAL FOR A CPA THAT WOULD LIKE TO LEAVE PUBLIC ACCOUNTIN OR A TAX ACCOUNTANT READY FOR THE NEXT STEP. Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports.
• Work under direction of the tax director on strategic, operational, and financial matters.
• Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
• Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
• Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
• Report analysis and findings to management team

​Qualifications:

• Previous experience in accounting or other related fields.
• CPA certification required plus 4-15 years of experience as a tax accountant.
• experience in financial accounting, corporate accounting, or financial auditing. 
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting or tax preparation experience.
• strong experience in the review of tax returns for wealthy family members and their trusts, investment entities, and private businesses. 
• 1099 tax software.
• Sage Intacct.
• tableau
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
