This is more than a job—it’s an excellent starting point for your corporate career journey, collaborating with executive and director-level leaders and specialists in business development and proposal crafting.

What We Offer:

  • A chance to shape the future of a growing small federal contracting business.
  • Direct involvement in high-level strategic decisions, working alongside executive and directorial leadership.
  • A collaborative, innovative environment where your ideas for process improvement are valued.
  • A role that is integral to the success of our business development and proposal efforts.
  • A unique profit-share/commission structure per contract won.

Your Role:

  • Analyze and Organize: Dive deep into government contracting opportunities, evaluating and organizing them into a strategic pipeline.
  • Craft and Contribute: Assist in crafting compelling proposals, playing a pivotal role from initial go/no-go decisions to final submission.
  • Collaborate and Create: Work closely with both internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring seamless communication and content gathering.
  • Innovate and Improve: Take charge of internal projects, from enhancing lead generation processes to developing a comprehensive capabilities library.
  • Reflect and Refine: Lead after-action reports and lessons learned sessions, driving continuous improvement in our proposal processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out the development process for the contract pipeline.
  • Engage in the proposal development stages, from initial decision-making to content organization, composition, collection, and final submission.
  • Create, monitor, evaluate, and address data requests both within the team and with external partners.
  • Provide support in business growth and capture management activities.
  • Determine and relay the necessary resources for crafting proposals and capability documents.
  • Gather, organize, and tailor responses or formulate new ones to align with the requirements of prospective collaborators, official agreements, RFIs, and RFPs. Consistently refresh and manage the repository of proposal documents.
  • Aid in formulating winning strategies and unique selling points during creative brainstorming.
  • Facilitate the review of past projects and compile feedback by conducting interviews with team members to identify effective or ineffective tactics, offering suggestions for enhancement.
  • Keep proposal verbiage, case studies, CVs, and records of past work up to date and well-tracked.
  • Examine final proposals to verify compliance with all stipulations and requirements.
  • Design and organize proposal segments, including the creation or conceptualization of visuals, to improve readability.
  • Take part in color team review sessions to refine and sculpt the proposal content throughout its lifecycle.
  • Craft presentations that highlight key services or are tailored for major clients.
  • Enhance marketing endeavors by composing and contributing to articles, research papers, and additional promotional materials.
  • Produce content and simple visuals for particular proposals.
  • Design and refresh proposal templates and sustain a comprehensive log of proposals through SharePoint.
  • Organize and uphold the proposal agenda and timeline, construct compliance frameworks, aid in authoring and refining content, and maintain alignment with the overarching proposal themes.
  • Excel in collaboration as part of a multidisciplinary team

Who You Are:

  • A team player with at least three (3) years of experience in a collaborative environment, preferably in federal contracting.
  • Someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for organization.
  • A self-starter who thrives in fast-paced settings and can handle ad hoc requests with finesse.
  • An excellent communicator, capable of producing elegant, well-written content under sometimes tight deadlines.
