POSITION DESCRIPTION

At Energy Infrastructure Partners, we value innovation, collaboration, and sustainability in all our endeavors. We are currently seeking a motivated Business Development Intern to join our team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the preparation of proposals for our clients, contributing to our business development activities.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

Reporting to the Proposal Manager, the Business Development Intern will be responsible for coordinating the development of funding proposals for our utility and government clients. Key objectives include:

  • Research and Identification: Assist in researching and identifying potential clients, partners, and funding opportunities.

  • Proposal Preparation: Support the preparation of high-quality proposals by conducting market research, analyzing client needs, and drafting proposal content.

  • Data and Document Management: Data and document management to track pending requests for proposals and proposal documents.

  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with team members to develop proposal strategies, timelines, and budgets.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and external partners to gather information and insights for proposal development.

  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of proposal development processes and tools.

DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Business Development Intern will have the following responsibilities:

  • Research and Identification: Conduct research to identify potential clients, partners, and funding opportunities.

  • Proposal Preparation: Assist in preparing proposal content, including market research and client needs analysis.

  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with team members to develop proposal strategies, timelines, and budgets.

  • Document Management: Organize and maintain proposal-related documents and databases.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Process Improvement: Contribute ideas to improve proposal development processes and tools.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in Business Administration, Environmental Studies, Communications, English, or related field.

  • Writing Skills: Experience or demonstrated ability to write proposals, preferably in a business development or related context.
