Job Description

Job 18056: Legal Assistant

National personal injury law firm is seeking an entry-level Legal Assistant to join its midtown Manhattan team on a temp to perm basis.

The ideal candidate is a motivated and proactive team player with:

•    A college degree
•    A demonstrated interest in the legal field
•    Experience with medical records, a plus
•    Strong attention to detail
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

The Legal Assistant will:

•    Support the firm’s attorneys
•    Manage calendaring deadlines
•    E-file documents
•    Provide clients with case status updates
•    Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed

Additional Information:

•    Compensation during temp phase = $18.00/hour
•    Salary upon perm hire: $20.00/hour - $22.00/hour commensurate with experience plus benefits including healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, long-term disability & more
•    Full-time in office
