Field Technician (Experienced LDLR)

Alpha Pipeline Integrity Services is seeking pipeline & petrochemical field personnel to perform the following services: hydro tests, set up intelligent pig runs and perform pig tracking, leak detection, line location, leak surveys and one-call services. Experience is a plus although will train individuals without experience. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible, dependable, honest, productive, and aims to contribute to a winning team.  Our Field Technician positions require individuals who are able to work in a physically demanding environment, and travel is mandatory. It is also necessary to pass pre-employment qualifications, including a physical, D.O.T. drug & alcohol tests, and a background check. The individual must have a high school diploma or GED and a good driving record.  *Pay is commensurate with qualifications and experience.*

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High school graduate or equivalent; Valid driver's license; Able to attain CDL with HAZMAT Endorsement within 6 months of hire date.

Experience: One year of experience in an industrial or construction work environment using basis hand tools. Experienced using tractors and mowing equipment, survey equipment, or test equipment preferred.

Skill, Knowledge and Abilities: Basic mathematics, the ability to read and write in English, some computer knowledge, some knowledge of drawings and maps, and the ability to work with people. Demonstrates the ability to solve logical and mechanical problems.

Physical: Prolonged walking, stooping, bending, climbing, probing (drilling), and carrying equipment that may weigh over 40 pounds.

Mental: The ability to perform repetitive tasks as required. The ability to hear and understand verbal instruction and work alone if necessary.

Working Conditions: Working outdoors in temperature extremes that range from minus 30 degrees to 120 degrees Fahrenheit, weather conditions that may include rain or snow, and in terrain that may include swamps, marsh, heavy brush, or rocky soil.

Travel: Typically between 20% – 50% with trips ranging from as short as 2 – 3 days to 3 weeks or longer. Notice for out-of-town travel is sometimes short.
