Claims Representative/Claims Associate

Our client is an established and growing carrier as well as a leader in developing innovative insurance programs, services, and solutions for physicians, doctors, healthcare providers, hospitals and facilities.

They are searching for talented Claim Representatives and Claim Associates to join their growing team in Glastonbury, CT.

Responsibilities:

• Investigate and evaluate bodily injury and/or medical malpractice claims
• Communicate effectively with policyholders, claimants, medical providers, and attorneys
• Analyze medical records and other complex documents
• Negotiate settlements to ensure fair and timely resolutions
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to company policies and procedures
• Maintain excellent customer service standards

Qualifications:

• 2+ years as a claims associate or claims representative with experience specifically handling bodily injury with a desire to specialize in medical malpractice claims (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• College degree preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and standard of care
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent time management skills
