Position: Licensed Funeral Director - Life Celebrations Specialist

Join the Justen Funeral Home team in McHenry, IL, as a Licensed Funeral Director, where your role will be pivotal in transforming traditional funerals into profound Life Celebrations. This position demands creativity, empathy, and a commitment to celebrating life’s journey, focusing on each individual's unique story through personal memorabilia and photographs.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with families to design and implement personalized Life Celebrations, focusing on the individual’s journey and memorable moments.
• Foster a supportive environment, guiding families with our Family Guide and healing tools through their grief.
• Work flexibly across roles, including on-call shifts, leading transfers, and assisting in embalming and preparation as needed. (Embalming not a primary responsibility)
• Embrace continuous learning and growth, contributing to our team's ability to innovate in memorial services.

Qualifications:

• Illinois State Licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer (or eligible to reciprocate).
• Strong empathy, interpersonal skills, and a creative approach to service personalization.
• Excellent teamwork abilities, with a commitment to ethical practices and care.
• Capacity to perform physical tasks as required.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus

Ability to relocate to local service area
