Kennel Assistant - Part-time

KENNEL TECHNICIAN- Part-time and weekends and holidays needed for upscale, energetic, boarding facility in newer North Auburn veterinary clinic. 

WE NEED SOMEONE WHO CAN WORK WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS/HOLIDAY BREAKS this  SUMMER. JOB MAY CONTINUE INTO FALL, if desired. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE AT THESE TIMES.

Duties include:

• Play with, feed, and care for dogs and cats 
• Bathe dogs and assist with nail trims, etc.
• CLEAN kennels and maintain clean kennel and outdoor play areas
• Maintain organization of food boards and boarding arrivals/departures
• Take pictures for social media posts
• Clinic laundry (not extensive)

Idea candidate is:

• An animal lover who enjoys spending time with dogs and cats
• Knowledgeable about dog and cat behavior and willing to learn
• Dependable, responsible, accountable
• Organized and attentive to details
• Able to communicate well with staff and clients
• Physically able to manage large dogs
• Friendly and has a happy, positive attitude!

Work hours are approximately 7 am-1pm and 3-6 pm M-F, 7-9am and 4-6 pm weekends and holidays. MUST be able to work the majority of Memorial Day weekend, July 3-8, Labor Day weekend. $11 per hour. Schedule is typically every other weekend (possibly more, if desired) and some weekdays.
