Position Overview:  

Clinical support position whose primary role is functioning as a medical scribe.  This involves chart preparation, interviewing the client at the time of their visit, confirming visit purpose and any concerns or details.  Obtains vital signs and documents all patient information, documents patient encounters and updates the patient’s plan and visit summary.   The Medical Scribe is also responsible for the inventory and ordering of 3rd party lab kits.  This position will also require active involvement in patient triage activities and ancillary support functions.   

***Please note - this is a full-time position, for approximately 1 year.  Daytime shift + Saturday morning availability is needed***

Key Responsibilities: 

• Works to optimize patient flow (keeps doctor on schedule, minimizes excessive waiting time by patient). 
• Greets and escorts patient to exam room.  Interviews patients to identify any changes to medications and update medial history.   
• Measures and records vital signs including weight, pulse, temperature and blood pressure.  
• Obtains and documents accurate medical history - past medical, surgical, social histories and review of systems.  
• Obtains and documents chief complaint and history of present illness 
• Explains treatment procedures to patients 
• Obtains signed consent for procedures 
• Prepares patient for examination by provider and assists during examination and procedures as needed.  
• Cleans and prepares room for next patient 

• Prepare PRP/Stem cell products per protocol under the direction of a licensed provider 
• Post procedure follow up calls to patients 
• Monitor inventory & assist with ordering

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor of Science (or similar)
• Current CPR required
