Screw Machine Programmer Setup Operator Star and Tsugami

Hey, stuck in a job running the same parts over and over without any thought process or creative thinking. Well, at NDZ Performance we are a growing aftermarket firearms accessories manufacturer which is hiring a knowledgeable person to lead our screw machine dept. A full working knowledge of setting up, running, and or programming jobs for our screw machine department. We are NOT a job shop, we produce our own brand of custom accessories for our B2B and B2C operations. With that said, we make parts with creative designs or looks, call it freestyle. This is truly a different way of doing things, makes our job more exciting and rewarding since we have national recognition. The items we manufacture are NOT tight "pain in the butt" type of tolerance or materials, but more critical is making sure the parts are clean, meaning burr free, smooth to the touch and some design elements to make our parts look good and stand out from the competition.

Our CNC shop is what makes us who we are, and is a cornerstone of our business, designing creative functional parts and accessories for the automotive, firearms and other strategic industries.

JOB SUMMARY: A developing screw machine dept. with 2 Star's and a Tsugami. We work in a General Machine shop environment & support functions. Process job setups, organize and document tooling, material, assist with prints, operate and help repair screw machines, clean parts, check parts to print, recommend and order tooling, material for upcoming jobs.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Program & proof out new jobs
• Develop new and interesting part profiles and or visual machining elements
• Spec out, coordinate and order tooling, catalog and order material
• Manage a tooling inventory list, assist with the drawing of parts
• Run existing screw machines, tool or job changes
• Assist in training future candidates - on boarding of additional operators
• Program, and optimize programing tools, must be a self starter
• Working knowledge of part inspection using standard industry standard inspection tools.
• Other tasks as assigned by management
• 1st shift part time work (40 hrs wk)
• 90 day probation period - we are an AT-WILL employer

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and SKILLS:

Have a naturally positive attitude with demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills. Communication is the key to our business at all levels. Having prior CNC and manufacturing experience is a must, capable of working with minimum supervision, ability to operate multiple machines when needed, physically able to lift 40 lbs, desire to learn new skills, work on their feet for extended period of time. Must have good math skills, ability to read blueprints, read, write and speak English, and have good interpersonal skills. You can multi-task and adapt to changing situations. Previous independent work environment preferred.
