Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanics to join our clients growing team in Kansas City, MO. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, excavators, and loaders. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our equipment fleet.

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment

- Repair or replace faulty parts and components

- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential issues

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed

- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on equipment

- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding equipment status and repairs needed

- Assist with equipment deliveries and pickups as needed

- Keep work area clean and organized

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic

- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems

- Experience working with various heavy equipment brands and models

- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and schematics

- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

- Must have own tools

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
