Permit Coordinator

• This position is responsible for preparing building permit submittal packages, as well as coordinating the efficient submittal, approval, and retrieval from local jurisdictions.
• Communicate the status of each permit, review, prepare, submit, and receive permit packages in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
• Coordinate payment and reimbursement of permit fees.
• Work with internal teams and jurisdictional employees to understand and resolve any jurisdictional comments at the time of submittal.
• Prepare project documentation for construction teams.
• Additional duties assigned as needed.

• Must be able to work effectively in a close team environment.
• Ability to take direction and suggestions in an open and collaborative way.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with analytical skills.
• Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong telephone and internet skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Attentive to minute detail, focused, and precise with the work product and communications.

No previous permitting experience is required but is preferred. Willing to learn.
