Senior HR Generalist

We are looking for a well-rounded Senior HR Generalist who can jump into the compliance, policy, and payroll side, as well as the performance management and employee relations side.

Key responsibilities include:

• Research and support compliance with Federal, State, and local payroll and employment laws and regulations
• Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures including handbook updates
• Maintain required compliance data; compile and complete required reports
• Serve as back-up person for the Firm’s payroll utilizing ADP Workforce Now
• Assist employees with questions and concerns regarding the policies, payroll, benefits, etc.
• Complete registrations with State agencies (withholding tax, unemployment accounts, etc.)
• Support the Firm through external audits such as the 401(k) audit and workers’ compensation audits
• Review and make corrections, if needed, to annual required statements (W-2s, 1095-Cs, etc.)
• Assist with the administration of the performance management system
• Address performance concerns and disciplinary issues in collaboration with managers
• Support FMLA and leave of absence processes
  

Ideal Senior HR Generalist candidate has:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or business-related field, or related work experience
• 3+ years’ experience in human resources
• 1+ years’ experience in payroll
  
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• High level of organization, focus, exceptional attention to detail, and strong follow-up skills needed
• High comfort level with technology and computer programs, including Microsoft Office programs as well as HR and payroll systems

Flexible Workplace:

Candidates must live within 75 miles of one of our Minnesota offices due to the needs of the firm and the role.
