Azure cosmos DBA

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with extensive experience in managing SQL Server environments and a proven track record of success in data warehouse projects. As a Senior SQL Server DBA, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of our clients' mission-critical databases. You will play a key role in optimizing the performance of high-volume databases, migrating data to cloud-based platforms such as Azure, and supporting data warehouse initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
• Work closely with development teams to design and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
• Optimize the performance of high-volume databases and SQL queries to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Implement best practices for database monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to plan and execute data migration projects from SQL Server to Azure.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Participate in capacity planning and scalability assessments to support business growth and evolving data needs.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in database management and data warehousing.
• Experience with Azure Cosmos DB is a must.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.
• Strong expertise in managing SQL Server databases in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouse projects and dimensional modeling concepts.
• Proven track record of optimizing the performance of high-volume databases and SQL queries.
• Demonstrated proficiency in data migration projects, particularly migrating data from SQL Server to Azure.
• Solid understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a customer-focused mindset.
