Description

The Quality Assurance & Control Manager leads and manages the quality functions, maintain the ISO 9001-2015, Quality Management System, QC inspection and development processes, and drive quality improvement initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Actively collaborate as a value adding member of cross-functional teams, representing the quality assurance function in the determination and performs feasibility reviews of product requirements for new products and enhancements/revisions to existing products.
• Works closely with Operations and Engineering to provide standardizing support for new products /processes, and modifications to existing.
• Leads documentation process of organizational capability initiatives.
• Supports Supply Chain function in developing objective criteria-based systems for initial selection, continual monitoring, and periodic re-evaluation of critical suppliers. This may include supplier quality agreements, supplier performance scorecard, containment, and improvement programs.
• Identifies, communicates, and maintains product standards to the Quality team with standardized inspection plans, AQL and SPC methodology.
• Analysis of incoming data (customer complaints, customer satisfaction, product performance, or supplier performance) to identify potential areas for problems and systematically plan and implement actions to prevent their first time-occurrence.
• Provides communication with trending data, to utilize in corrective action (8D or RCA) initiatives.
• Sustain compliance with municipal laws, regulations, company and quality system standards.
• Lead, support and backup quality assurance and inspection team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in business, Operations, Engineering, or related technical degree.
• Highly experienced with QMS, preferably ISO 9001:2015, with procedural & auditing capability.
• Five to seven years in a Manufacturing or Industrial facility with tangible products.
• Ability to inspect tools, read and interpret blueprints for machined components.
• Functional understanding of GDT (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
