About Axis Spine Clinic: Axis Spine Clinic is a private neurosurgery practice based out of Gahanna, Ohio. We focus on treating spine conditions, but offer the full spectrum of neurosurgery treatments to our patients. What does a Certified Medical Assistant do?: As a CMA, you will be the "jack of all trades" for the practice. You may be the first person to greet a patient as he/she walks in the door, and will help set the tone for the entire interaction. You will help to answer phones, schedule appointments for patients, perform check/check out tasks, handle money, and assist the office manager with additional tasks as needed. Most importantly, you will interact with our patients, their families, and their entire care team.

Additionally, you will help the physician/non-physician provider by setting up patient intake, including taking an accurate history, medication review, chief complaint, and placing orders.

Work Hours: This position is part time, salaried.  You will be asked to work during our Thursday and Friday clinic hours.  We are open 10am to 7 pm on Thursday, and 8am to 4pm on Friday.  The work day typically starts 30 minutes before we open, and ends as soon as the last patient leaves.  As time goes on, there may be opportunity to increase your hours or to go full time, if desired.

Qualifications: Nothing specific, but here are some things that may give you a leg up.

4. Experience in customer service.
