GIS Developer / Consultant

We are seeking a passionate GIS professional to work onsite with a valued client in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will join an amazing team focused on building stronger communities! They offer excellent compensation along with a robust benefit package. This is a direct hire position.

In this position the consultant will:

• Assist the Program Services section with the administration and maintenance of on premises ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online .
• Serve as the point of contact for various GIS projects/assignments.
• Assist the Program Services section with maintaining the GIS applications, servers, layers, and feature classes.
• Attend requirement gathering and GIS coordination meetings.
• Define project tasks and execute on those tasks.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

This position is focused on GIS support and the candidate must have knowledge of the following languages:

• SQL
• Python

The candidate must bring experience with the following:

• ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online Administration
• Esri desktop tools like ArcCatalog, ArcMap, and ArcPro
• Multi-user environments and Version Management with ArcGIS
• Mapping and working with spatial data

The candidate must have the ability to:

• Work with existing ArcGIS databases, datasets and applications to develop an understanding of their use and integration capabilities.
• Develop solutions to ArcGIS needs using a combination of tools including app builders (ArcGIS Instant Apps, ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcGIS StoryMaps, and ArcGIS Experience Builder).
• Work with client ArcGIS Users developers, etc. to understand data landscape and needs.
• Write clear technical documentation to support data development work.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical staff to understand client GIS needs.
